I Think This Says it all...

Quite possibly one of my all-time favorite movies. So, what is YOUR favorite part? I have so many that I couldn't possibly list them all; however, these are two interchanges I absolutely love…

Bob: There are two types of people in this world: Those who like Neil Diamond, and those who don't. My ex-wife loves him.

Dr. Leo Marvin: [pause] I see. So, what you're saying is that even though you are an almost-paralyzed, multiphobic personality who is in a constant state of panic, your wife did not leave you, you left her because she... liked Neil Diamond?

Siggy: I mean, my Dad just dropped me in the water, without warning me first. I mean, I nearly drowned! My whole life flashed before my eyes!

Bob: Wow, you're lucky you're only twelve.

Siggy: It was still grim.

  2. I absolutely love that movie. Funny because therapists use "So what you are saying..." all the time. My classmates and I joke about that...

Dr. Leo Marvin: I want some peace and quiet!
Bob Wiley: Well, I'll be quiet.
    Siggy: I'll be peace!
[Bob and Siggy burst into giggles]

    or

Bob Wiley: Baby step to four o'clock. Baby step to four o'clock.

  5. I watched this again just recently. To pick a fovorite line.....impossible!

This one isn't funny. This one is a real fear man!

Bob Wiley: What if I'm looking for a bathroom, I can't find one, and my bladder explodes?

And this one..well...it speaks for itself. (With a little editing of course. :)

Bob Wiley: You ever hear of Tourette's syndrome? Involuntarily shouting profanity?
Dr. Leo Marvin: It's exceptionally rare.
    Bob Wiley: &*(&*^&^*&(**(*()*(&(*)(()_(*#&$(*&(*%)(*#)($*(*&%(*&985&(*&439(*#&(*&#5987983 :D
Dr. Leo Marvin: Why exactly are you doing this?
Bob Wiley: If I fake it, then I don't have it.

We quote this movie all the time. But then, we know we have issues. ;)

  6. I loved this movie until I saw it an umpteen amount of times and then hated it. But I think it has been long enough I can love it again.
As for my favorite? I can't even remember anything I saw on TV yesterday, let alone a movie I saw years ago. Sorry. I'm braindead, I tell ya. Just simply braindead.

  7. Wow...I haven't seen that movie in ages! I forgot how funny Murray and Dreyfus are together. I have GOT to pick up a copy of it.

  8. Bill Murray is my favorite. SO many to choose from:

    "I'M SAILING! I SAIL!"

"Leo, I see salt and pepper... is there a salt substitute? "

"It was an interesting morning, fruitful. But it lacked the intensity that you and I generate together, the sparks that we get one-on-one. We just gotta figure out a way to work around your schedule. Could we work afternoons? Two to four? Three to five? Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday?"

  9. I laugh out loud whenever I watch that movie, but I can only take it in small doses!

"What if I'm looking for a bathroom, I can't find one, and my bladder explodes?"

"Baby steps get on the bus...baby steps down the aisle..."

  10. D - No, just felt inspired to blog.

    L - I love that one, too.

J - He is quite the character in that film; indeed he is.

S - I love it (obviously). So, you have a twelve year-old boy named after you? Wow, you should be so fortunate.

    K - I couldn't agree more!

R - I really tried to like 'The Man Who Knew Too Little' but it didn't have the magic that this one did.

N - I know what you mean, "The Princess Bride" became that for me…still don't know if I could stomach it today.

S - I have one if you'd want to watch it.

C - There are far too many to only have one!

N - Small doses? Does that mean you only watch portions of it now and then?

  11. "Take a vacation...a vacation from my PROBLEMS!"

"Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic and so am I."

Quite possibly the best poem ever!
