Last year the idea was 70s; this year?
Destitute.
In a word or two: sheer brilliance.
While I could tell you all about the ogling of passers-by while this family of eleven trudged down the street with half of their children in shopping carts, about the anomalous looks from the well-groomed family of four with their twin four year-old boys in matching attire getting photos by the train, I’ll forbear.
It was all jealousy…pure and simple.
After a fantastic shoot in the biting cold with crying children and runny noses, I headed home and uploaded the images to my computer; what I saw tugged at my heart.
It still does.
I one day too hope to have aesthetically-pleasing children so that I will have the option to send them out to the streets to beg if ever the need arises.

I would have loved to see them walking down the street pushing all those kids in shopping carts... Really, how fun to have a friend that does these kind of photoshoots?!
Although, I am glad those sweet kids do have a warm home to go back to, but makes me ache for those equally sweet children everywhere who do not.
All I can say is WOW...
Wow, not what I expected for sure. Thinking of you kids in that situation is pretty humbling for sure.
When you first told me about this shoot I didn't picture this at all. Very fun and creative but with a whole gaggle of kids myself......it makes you really think and appreciate that not only do I have a nice warm home but so does the family in this photo shoot.
That would have been fun to see them pushing all of those kids in the shopping carts.

Oh one the second page the little girl holding her doll by the hand standing while there in the in an over-sized button-down shirt made me do an audible awwwwww....

That was hilarious! (Though it wouldn't have been if I didn't know the truth). Reminds me of a time my parents and the 5 of us children went into Mcdonalds after a camping trip. A sweet lady gave my dad $100 bill. She was convinced we were destitute and living out of our car!
