I awoke this morning to a daybreak saturated in pictorial cloud character; gray and puffy cauliflower blossoms, like clumps of cottonwood fluff caught in the wind clustered around the rising inclines of Mount Timpanogos—heaps of whipped cream upon a vanilla mountain. Rich, buttery sunlight inked its way over the slopes like caramel topping slathered over a savory dessert.
Even being caught on my early-morning commute behind a slowly moving yellow school bus couldn’t damper my day for - with windows down - the freshly mown grass glistened with the early-morning dew, coating the very air I drove through with the early flesh of summer.
The music playing became the moment.
What a truly glorious day.

AH, you make it sound so wonderful, even the school bus and that takes a lot to do!
I love skies like that. They're always very nearly cause for accident, because I'm too busy paying homage with my eyes to watch the road.
And I'm kind of hungry now...holy food imagery, Batman!
i love days like that. i used to live in san antonio and attended utsa. one evening, as i walked to my car, there in the sky was this massive line of clouds... i couldn't see the end of it. and they were huge. made me think of mount olympus. it was so cool. i just stood there in awe. and all these other students were just walking, totally oblivious. i couldn't understand how they couldn't appreciate it.
Yep - I'm hungry now, too. But THANK YOU for sharing your glorious morning, and I loved the music!
Oh, springtime! You describe it deliciously!
Oh wow! Clouds should look THAT delicious in the morning. But that just may be that I am hungry at the moment and Mount Timp never sounded so yummy!
I have a strange need for some ice cream with whip cream and caramel on top.
Wow, I didn't realize you could write thus. Very impressive.
was that suppose to make me hungry? cuz it did. Mmm ice cream sundae
