Unicorn Wishes

Explanation?

Well, it was about a year ago that I was sitting at my friend’s house; we were out on the front porch enjoying the cool, evening air. It wasn’t long before one of their kids came out and started whining about something—I really don’t really remember what. I finally turned to this young man and said, “Maybe a herd of unicorns will come running down the street and make all your wishes come true.” There it was, like magic.

Brilliant.

This phrase ran itself though my head many times over the ensuing months; however, it wasn’t until sometime later that I was at my school’s Scholastic Book Fair that the full potential of that statement came to me. It came when I saw a group of my students ogling over the posters of kittens, puppies, and horses with the cheesy phrases and well-wishes.

“I could make one of those…” I thought to myself. And like magic, I did.

So I present you today with a full-resolution version of this poster which can be printed…well, poster-sized. Simply click on the photo above and when the full-sized version pops up (I need to warn you…it’s huge), right-click and save.

By the way, if you post this photo on your blog, then the herd of magical unicorns will come running down your street to grant you all of your wishes, too.* Let's see just how many people can be touched by Unicorn Wishes...

*Magical unicorns not available in all areas. And yes, that horn is so real.

Love it, especially the disclaimer in fine print!

Uhm, I might just have to print it and see what happens. Of course I don't need to worry about that disclaimer....

Once again, just when I think you cannot be even more cool...

Can one of the unicorns have my knight in shining armor riding on it?

Interesting spin on unicorns. I am only familiar with the take of someone being like a unicorn: a mythical creature that one only looks at due to it being unattainable. At least that is what the nasty frat boys liken unicorns to in Moscow. Either case your poster evoked a chuckle or two.

My luck....if a herd of unicorns came running down my street I'd get speared by one of them.........or I'd be so off in my own world that I'd not see them and step in their magical crap after they've gone galloping by....or both....

How big is the herd did ya say because crap is crap. I don't care how magical it is. I just want to know how deep I'm going to be in it....

Um, my son would like to go to space now, thankyouverymuch Mr. Unicorn wish-granter. I think I'll send him over to your place so YOU can explain why he can't go right now...

(this was hilarious, btw)

L - Shhhhh, don't tell anybody that, okay?

A - Legal ramifications, you know.

B - Wishes, baby, wishes!

L - If it brought a smile to your face and some laughter to your heart, then my aims have been accomplished and MY wish was grated.

J - You might have to use one of your wishes to get that...

L - I always suspected that you were a unicorn.

R - Somebody's gotta clean it all up, you know?

S - Did he actually see the unicorns? You could always read him the disclaimer...

T - It is so real-looking, isn't it? When I was out hiking I came across him and stealthily took that photo.
