Cool. I just "heard" all about your day in about a minute. If a picture=a thousand words....well, let's just say I'm glad you didn't explain your day in words. It's much too late at night for me to read that long of a blog.
That was pretty cool. I greatly doubt anyone would ever want to see this done on my day. LOTS of diaper changes, dishes, laundry, checking temps (my daughter is still sick), putting kids in timeout or at least stopping the yelling before it turns to hitting, house a mess and me not much better.
Several of those pictures made me wonder if you were NOT alone. Did you have a shutterbug helper?
I really enjoyed that. I wanted to know who got those cookies. Did someone ask you to prom and you had to answer them with a plate of cookies? Can't wait to see you in a tux in a future post!
WOW you still go to school and teach during the summer! I work during the summer too, but not at school (They make me work with the big fish at centeral office). I know it's my OCD coming out, but I wanted to come and clean your mirror. Can't handle the writing on it no matter how meaningful it is......
A - Thanks. I didn't put everything on that I did that day, but some of the major highlights…of course, it didn't involve any bathroom cleaning.
J - I look back on that and think the same thing. Ah well, it's a done deal now, right?
T - Thanks, Trevor. I don't bake cookies every day, but yesterday I did. Thanks for commenting.
J - I'm all about brevity.
FS - Yeah, some things are better left unseen…
To answer your question, I took all of the photos via timer and tripod. Some of them turned out better than others. If I could have cloned myself and shot photos, they would have been even better.
A - I'm actually teaching guitar and beginning photo. It's pretty fun and the kids seem to like it. As for the kid on the path, he is a neighborhood kid who just started walking down the path as I was photographing the area. It made for a better shot with him there I soon noticed so I clicked away.
K - No, luckily there's no prom or anything like that. Somebody I know updated their FB profile with how much they wanted some of the Chunk-A-Poo cookies. I decided to surprise them.
B - The summer program is enrichment for the first two weeks and then it will be academic for the two weeks before school starts.
The mirror is where I write ideas that I want to blog about plus other things…it's a wonderful space for ideas.
T - Curses, how did you know?
C - I do like Baja Fresh…good stuff. Unfortunately, Taco Bell was a lot closer and convenient. The wait was only about 4 or 5 minutes.
S - Thanks. I thought later of other shots I should have taken, but to be honest…this was quite the endeavor. It wouldn't have been if I could have taken a photog along with me all day, but doing it yourself can be quite the challenge!
It's tempting to do my own day in pictures, but it wouldn't be near as close in quality. :) Plus, I doubt too many people want to see me changing diapers or waiting on the phone to set up gas and electric accounts for my new place. Hahaha! Great idea though! I enjoyed it. P.S. it looks like you might need some new aglets. :) (I just learned about them on the highly informative Phineas and Ferb)
this is so awesome. i love it. your day is so cool! i want taco bell and cookies. you do have cool hair. this has to be the neatest thing i've seen in a long time!
I love this series! Great rain shots and cookie baking shots. And keeping notes on the bathroom mirror is a really good idea. Also, just out of curiosity, what is it that you are pouring into the glass in the 6th picture?
What a great idea! I am the worst at writing lengthy wordy blogs! ;o) And I hate the sink looking like that after I bake...but LOVE to bake! Those cookies looked YUMMY!
Hi. I am a blog stalker. That's all I have to say about that.
Your day seems to have been very productive! Love the idea of taking notes on the mirror. Used to do that when I was at the Y, but I haven't since I moved back to Utah. May start that up again, actually...Cookies look delicious. I may have to make some soon. Not sure if it will be before or after the red velvet cake.
Loved that! I might have to try that. I went around one night and photographed all of my family's hands with the activity they were busy doing and it was one of my favorite sequences of photos.
Fave Pic: You loading dishwasher Least Fav: Sink full of dishes after cookies. Things that made me go hm?: What are the panels/tables outside that window? The “You just had to ask…” sticker. Fire hydrant pic-You walking a dog or just relieving yourself? Misc. Thoughts: Great view from your window. Super cool BIG screen in media room. Even cooler post. I’d consider copying but 1) seems like a lot of work, 2) who wants to see a woman changing diapers and doing laundry all day?
K - Cookies are good just about anytime in my opinion.
S - I always enjoy different photo shoots. Something a bit out of the ordinary can be awesome.
Y - Those are the covered parking spaces outside the window. The 'had to ask' sticker was for a FB comment somebody had made saying that they wanted some of those cookies. The fire hydrant was a shot I took to illustrate to my photography class at school the power of different perspective in photos.
I didn't really think to post any descriptors with the images, and now I realize that some of them might have been a bit confusing.
The big screen is awesome, BTW and you're right…a post like this is a TON of work (unless I'd have had a personal photog following me around and taking the shots as opposed to using a tripod all day).
for just a second I thought you were making an M&M smoothie... obviously I don't make many cookies. (which is actually ironic, since the timer just went off on a batch... gotta go!)

That is awesome! Love it!
If that was me, you see me cleaning multiple bathrooms. That would not be a pretty picture!
Mine would've been washing and hanging 5 loads of laundry on the line. I can't believe you got a plate for your taco bell!!!
That is by far the coolest post I have ever seen! You're day seems so cool... even though Im sure its pretty routine for you.
Love'd it!

P.S. Like the haircut. (:

I like how you chose b&w- made the pictures very interesting. Funny how "mundane" can actually be fantastic photo topic.
BTW- are you teaching guitar and filmmaking right now?
Who's the kid on the path? I love that picture!
Sorry about your tire- glad you could fix it and still make it to school in plenty of time.

Amazing photos. AMAZING.
I am pretty sure you were checking my blog in that one picture - so thanks for that ;)
Wow, u bake!... Very good essay... Taco Bell? omg, dude, have u tried Baja Fresh? was the wait long in that drive thru?
Fan-freakin-tastic...what a very full and wonderfully productive day! Incredible shots - every last one of them.

Did you actually take all of these? They are fantastic!
And any man who makes cookies is a winner in my book. Unless they suck and taste horrible.
How come there wasn't a photo of you delivering those cookies to MY HOUSE?? HUH?
BTW....you're so Hollywood. :D You did your hair before you took your wake up shots. :p
Loved this photo story. I liked it, a lot!

This turned out fantastic, TF! But I think you know which ones are my favorites. No offense, I'm just a little partial.
And your CoP's are scrumdididlyumptious!

D - Thanks. It was fun (albeit time-consuming) to do.
M - I had no idea that those were called Aglets until you just mentioned them.
Yeah, I do.
K - Yep. Thanks. They were fun, but like I told Daniel, a bit of a pain, really. I'll do it again sometime in the future.
The cookies are amazing, by the way.
R - Oh, I didn't take one? Curse me…
A - Thanks, Ally.
N - I figured that you would be. Aren't those CoPs awesome? I had three today. I might have to make more for tomorrow…
N - I write partial blog posts on the bathroom mirror; it's like an extension of my notebook sometimes.
The beverage being poured is V8. It's my breakfast drink during the week…and I hate it.
Fun peek into your day. Thanks.
Fab post - I'd love to do something similar but I fear I'd have to tidy the house!!
I liked that.
great idea.
I want to learn how to do that. It'd be wonderful.
I have GOT to get my act together...wouldn't it be neat to see everyone's photo essay of a day???
Love this idea! Next time you make those cookies give me a heads up. I'll be over to help you eat the dough.
nice photoblog...great pictures
Nice photoblog...very clever...as if I spent your day with you....keep it up
What a great idea! I am the worst at writing lengthy wordy blogs! ;o) And I hate the sink looking like that after I bake...but LOVE to bake! Those cookies looked YUMMY!
That was beyond awesome! I am going to have to steal that idea sometime. Super, super cool.
Y - Glad you liked it.
ED - I think that it would be a lot of fun to get a peek into the life of others.
E - It really would.
S - I brought some of them up to the lunch yesterday…sorry you couldn't make it.
T - Thanks for coming along for the ride.
B - And if a picture is worth a thousand words…
L - Steal away. That's what the best bloggers do, right?
I like the photo with you on the road with the tree in the back-ground. Very cool

K - Cookies are good just about anytime in my opinion.
