Media of the Week - My New Life

Pin It There are moments in my life when I need to be reminded of certain things. Often, these snippets of time come in the form of a few words spoken by a friend, a certain something I read from a book, or from a clip I see online.

Welcome to such a moment...

I've never read her blog, but after watching this, I may have to start.

I don't know how you'll ever top this media.

How funny, I just saw this before coming here.

Truly inspiring. Her story, when it happened, really hit home to me since I'd flown in small airplanes with my husband pilot many times.

"Beauty and motherhood are the same thing." - love that.

She is such a great example of endurance and of motherhood.

I saw this a couple of days ago and was just blown away by it. What a beautiful tribute to Stephanie, to her family and to motherhood. I plan to post it soon on our blog. Thanks good friend!

The first few minutes of this video really reached inside me. I began to cry while listening intently... I won't lie in telling you I was somewhat disappointed to see it was actually religious propaganda.

I'm insecure in my beliefs regarding G*d and organized religion. I was actually thinking the video might have been a medical miracle type message or nonprofit or foundation message, etc.

So I'm a bit conflicted on a personal level. Although it is a sad story with a happy ending, they are an amazing couple, blessed with a lovely family and the gift of life. I just, I dunno. I'm sorry, I hope we can still be blog friends :( I hope I haven't offended you and your readers. I hope you won't hate me for having different views. Feel free to delete my comment :(

C - I love to read her blog, such great insights. It's funny that she still remembered me from when I taught at the same school as her sister, Courtney (Cjane). When I saw her at Cafe Rio a few months ago, she absolutely remembered my name and we talked for a bit.

She is fantastic.

C - I do read Courtney's blog. We used to work together at my old school. She was always a hoot and a lot of fun to be around. I don't see her as much as I used to, but catch up with her from time to time.

Also, I love that like she uses, too...

S - I couldn't agree more.

C - Sometimes we can grow a lot more from the 'bad' moments than the good ones. Not that I want bad ones though…

T - I'd originally planned to run something else for this week, but when I saw this video, I knew that this was the thing.

S - She really does set an example of endurance, doesn't she?

D - My intent wasn't to make people feel bad…I just felt so inspired to do and be better that I wanted to share that with who I could.

N - She really does make one think, and appreciate, too.

J - You bet.

N - She is a great reminder-er of things like that.

C - I'm glad it was something you liked, too.

L - I've watched it several times, each time, I catch something new.

A - How could I not be a blog friend with you? Everybody has differing views, one thing that I know is that people are still people. This is just an example of something which has kept Stephanie going - her faith.

Just because people don't share all the same beliefs doesn't mean that they can't be friends with one another. I'm still planning on seeing you around here - and offend? Pshaw, I think not...

S - Like I said earlier, she inspires me to try to do better each time I think about her. Talk about a life which has touched so many...

Teach, big hugs. I just told my husband how scared I was for forgetting my polite filter today in blog commenting. I was hoping for the best in me revisiting this post and you simply deleting it, but instead you posted it and are still my bud. All is right in the blogosphere. Thank you so much, and I agree with everything you said :) You truly are an excellent teacher, writer, blogger and sharer... (um, is "sharer" a word?)

T - I think that the world never has too many people like this in it.

A - It would take a HECK of a lot more than simply having a differing viewpoint like this to offend me. Glad that all is still good and right in the world. Sleep well tonight and I'll catch up to you again, okay?
