SCENE 1, INTERIOR. NOON, CLASSROOM. RECESS. Only a few students remain in the classroom finishing up assignments. One boy approaches the teacher who is working on the day’s Social Studies assignment.
JOEY: Mr. Z, do you know who’s going to be in your class next year?
TEACHER: Now, just why in the world would that matter to you?
[Pause].
JOEY: I just does. [Pause]. So, do you know who’s going to be in your class?
TEACHER: Yep, and I’m really excited to have you again.
[The boy’s eyes grow wide for a second].
OTHER STUDENTS: Moted! Ooooooo. You got that, Joey!
JOEY: I get to be in your class again? That would be fun!
[The teacher is a bit surprised].
TEACHER: Really?
[Joey nods and grins].
JOEY: Yeah, I like to be punished.
Fade to black.

Don't throw me in the briar patch!!!!
You'll miss that glutton for punishment- so will we. Here's to hoping you get an extra special Joey to "torture" next year.
HA! What a little stinker!!
But teacher's DON'T like to be punished.
hey, I can relate.. who better to get a punishment from, than a teacher? somehow the punishment isn't as bad as if it comes from mom or dad, right? after all 'you're just the teacher'...(re: post from guest writer today, lol)
that is so funny. Kids are cute in a weird way...don't ya' think. Love the story.

LOL. That's funny. Love the post!:)
Hilarious. Little glutton for punishment! I'm sure you will miss him.
Ha! So being with you is a punishment. That's like when my kids ask to go to my colleague's room for a time out when they haven't done anything wrong. They just want to go see her.
Niiiiiiice. My kids say the same thing about being my spawn
Do they really still say Moted? I remember saying that. Ha!
