I went to New York

Pin It I know that I’ve painted the picture of this before—including photographs of my trip—I told you all about the things I did, the places I went, and the things that I saw.

But I did not share them all; after all, there was simply far too much to tell.

I recently took part in a photoshoot, and was uploading these images from my camera; it was at this point that I found a slew of photographs from my New York trip that I still hadn’t even gone through yet…I know, I know…it’s been a month, what am I doing now even posting these?

Well, it’s better late than never, right?

Of course, that’s exactly what I thought, too.

I could tell you about the Shake Shack; about a single burger which cost more than an entire meal back home and a line that stretched from here to Christmas...

I could tell you about sitting at the chess tables in Washington Square Park...

I could tell you about how I saw filming locations for I am Legend, Searching For Bobby Fischer and August Rush...among a trove of others as well.

I could tell you about riding the subway systems and somehow ending up in Brooklyn;

I could tell you just how much fun it was seeing my brother again.

And so I just did.

Glad that after so many years you now enjoy your little brother. That must have been one great hamburger by the looks of the line!!! But didn't you have to wait in line for pizza? Sounds like that's what you did a lot of in New York, stand in line :o)

I'm glad you were able to enjoy a much-deserved vacation this summer. It makes me a little less jealous. ;) Great pictures!

G - I wish you'd have been there...it was a lot of walking, but it was a great trip.

B - I did an awful lot of standing in line...

G - It was a nice sidetrack, to be sure.

K - I've got a bit more...

I love the shot of you and yancy, you both have such great smiles, but usually when you take a picture of yourself you have that serious posed look about you. Its nice to see the good ol' grin!

strange to see pictures of where I am walking now, and think....you walked there a month ago, such as the kids have chorus at NYU and we were just at Washington Park on Tues. I still need to try the shake shack, but as for walking you are SO right....I think I am getting shin splints - ouch!

Glad to see more pictures...as always they are very well done.

K - Sometimes you just need to keep that sense of 'mystery' about yourself, you know?

KJ - It was a great trip; I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go.

S - Admittedly, it is a bit odd thinking that you are now in the place where I just was. I miss that place, and yet I am glad to be home as well.

I want to come back again.

goes without saying, but our door is always open to you. It was a lot of fun seeing you out here. And we look forward to our upcoming trip to Utah!
