Media of the Week- New Morning

Pin It I fell across this song about a month ago. I love it. The imagery of the video is powerful, but I will admit that I don't fully understand it.

Have you heard who you are? You're a new morning.

For me, having the understanding that no matter what I do each day, the mistakes I am unfortunate enough to make - as well as the things I do without thinking - are not definers of who I am. To realize that tomorrow brings with it a new day full of additional chances.

I become a new morning, and in this I find comfort.

By the way, the artist does use the 'D' word twice at the beginning of the song; for those of you who just might possibly be offended, jump to timecode 0:46.

This makes total sense... and we what we do w/each new morning we are responsible for and also it results in how the world acts/reacts to how each individual works, creates, or passes on..
Thanks for posting this... It made me think.

Great song! Love the end when someone asked if he had anything more to say and he shook his head no.

I liked the song - never heard it before. Kind of reminds me of one of my favs "Take a Picture" by Filter. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but I love the music.

Love this. I just read on a quote on someone's FB wall: "Morning is a wonderful blessing, either sunny or stormy. It stands for hope... giving us another start of what we call Life."- Source Unknown

Great music and I love the message of those lyrics.

Thank heavens for "New Mornings" because man, do we all need them. Repentance, rebirth, and renewals- where would we be without them.

How did I miss this post???

One of my favorite quotes in "Gone With the Wind" is when Scarlett constantly says, "Tomorrow is a better day". It is a running joke in our family. I'm always telling the SM, "I'll think about it tomorrow...tomorrow is a better day".

With the new morning comes a clean slate, new possibilities, new adventures, newness... and hopefully the strength to grab ahold of life once again and with a firm foothold face a new day.

A new morning is freshness like clean sheets dried out on the clothesline. A new beginning. A wrapped gift. You never know what the day is going to bring....
