I sat at my computer this evening, looking up Youtube clips to use in my classroom. That's when I saw a link which supposedly was going to lead me to a video entitled, "Hilarious Muppet Bloopers!" Well, I found my interest peaked, after all, who doesn't love the muppets? And being able to see mistakes the puppeteers made while shooting? Classic. Well, I clicked the link only to discover that I'd been Rickrolled.
What? You don't know what Rickrolling is? You've got to be kidding me…
Of course, I could pull you out of your state of pop-culture ignorance, and bring you into the fountains of enlightenment; however, I will forbear. If you'd like to know just what it is, and all the various and sundry details, you can read up on it here at Wikipedia.
Just know this...I listened to the whole song
and liked it.
Of course, there are those who'd just rather watch the real video…

Ha, ha. That was awesome. Who cares if you get "rickrolled" if you get to watch Beaker lipsync?
I have now been sufficiently schooled in Rickrolling. Thank you. My life is now complete.
I think I enjoyed the muppets version more!
The first time I was rickrolled, last year some time, I had no clue who Rick Astley was or any of his music. I miss my ignorance.
Wow, I've been in the dark about this for so long. And nice clothese Rick Astley was wearing. Wow, that video isn't old or anything is it? Thanks for sharing!
I can't remember what I was looking up on youtube when this happened to me awhile back. I just kept trying to look at the video I thought I was getting and trying to figure out why Rick Astley kept showing up... Now I know. I was Rickrolled. Repeatedly.
Besides that, what does it say for me that I knew all of the words to that song and sang along?
Thanks to you.....and Wikipedia.....I've now been educated......
I don't care what form they take. Muppets rock!
Buuuuillldddd meeee a jacuuuuzziiiiii.
And to think it all started as a You Tube April Fools joke!
Now my sons like to do what they call Rickrolling in person. Once they made me a 'cake' that said 'never let you down, never dessert you' Thing was it wasn't a cake but a losey box decorated to look like a cake. It was a great laugh (after they explain what Rickrolling was). And now I am very leary of anything they 'make' for me....
The VERY SAME thing happened to me a few months ago. I was looking up muppets on You Tube, and I love bloopers- so naturally.
Yes, I too was Rickrolled. But this time, I didn't mind so much.
PS- nice use of "various and sundry" :)
Thank you for the education. Your teacherness is not limited to the classroom.
I have to admit.. I really don't mind being "Rickrolled!" (I LOVE some of those mushy love songs!!!! :D)
I have never heard of rickrolling--TOO FUNNY! Thanks for education; that's a Trivial Pursuit question right there.
