I’d Love to Meet You…

So.

We’ve never actually met in real life now, have we?

Kind of sad, really.

So here’s your chance to turn cyber stalking and online buddyism into a real-live meeting, and a chance at being friends in the real world.

(Cue deep breath).

One week from tomorrow (June 12th) I have decided that I will be driving up to Draper, Utah and will be having lunch at 1:30 at either the Chuck-A-Rama or Texas Roadhouse; I’d love it if you were there, too. Would you join me? Could we be friends in real life instead of merely acquaintances via the anonymity of the Internet?

That would be awesome.

Please feel free to send me an email if you think that you’d like to attend this particular blogger lunch at teachinfourth@yahoo.

But teachinfourth…what if nobody shows up? Are you still going to go? Would you really eat all alone? Which of the two places will it really be: Chuck-A-Rama or Texas Roadhouse? How will I recognize you?

It’s still okay. Yes. Yes. I don’t know, I guess I’ll let the vote decide, just check out which place it will be when the voting ends at noon on Friday. Look for the guy with the spiky hair and the lack of B.O.

Hope to see you there…and tell you what, I’ll even blog about our meeting.

Oh how I would love to meet with you, however there are several states between here and there. But any time you find yourself in this area, I'm up for it!

What a fun idea! If my road trip were a little later, I'd be in, but I don't think the timing will work out. I can't wait to read all about it though.

I was just up that way, darn it. Literally, right around 106th. I hope you have a blast and meet some great BBF's (blogger best friends). :) Eat up!

I live so close; yet so afraid of blowing my cover. So afraid of not meeting expectations-though I'm not sure you'd expect anything. :-)

And so afraid of both restaurants...maybe Market Street Grill?

Wow - wish we lived closer, we'd totally participate - hope it is a huge success!!

Sounds so fun--just a few days too early, or I would totally be there!

Put me down as a maybe. I would LOVE to be there but I'm not sure I can work out the logistics.

Lunch would be fun but I'm way too far away, so enjoy a bite for me. I'm enjoying getting to know your blog. =)

I was a yes, but now I'm a no. Sorry.

I hope it goes incredibly well and I can't wait to hear about who makes an appearance! :)

If I were going my vote would be for Texas Roadhouse. Love the Chuck, but go there way to much with the kiddos. New places are good. Some friends introduced me to Tucanos last night and I think I am ruined forever. Holy cow! I love me some meat!

I can't wait to hear how this turns out. Sorry, I won't be coming. Just like Mamma....there are a few states in the way! Bummer!

D - I love that place: http://fourperspectives.blogspot.com/2010/03/clean-plates-silverware.html It's like magic…

B - If I'm ever up in your neck of the woods, you betcha!

FL - Perhaps next time. I'm looking forward to the viddles, myself. The company is the extra bonus.

R - I am fully expecting to see you there. I guess Nat has to bail, but boy will SHE be missing out!

M - Wish you could make it.

E - I figured that a lot of folks wouldn't be able to make it, but I thought that I'd offer it up for those who could.

K - Even the rolls? Those things drenched in that cinnamon honey butter are like heavenly nectar.

C - Sorry you won't be able to make it. If plans do work out, we'd love to have you.

MF - Blowing cover? Uh oh, is this you, other personality? Sometimes I just can't keep track of my schizophrenic self…

S - If you're ever in the neighborhood in the future, I'm always up for Texas Roadhouse. It's like awesome to the Nth degree.

L - Are you and your brood still up for a BBQ? That could be even better. I'll even make the notorious Chunk-A-Poo cookies.

M - I hope you can make it up; it would be great to finally meet you!

S - If you can work a little magic, it would be awesome to have you. It's SO not a party if you're not going to be there…

D - They've got some amazing rolls there which I've tried to emulate. No such luck. I'll be sure to enjoy five or twelve for you.

N - Tucanos is amazing, isn't it? I only go when people come into town who've never been or I am just feeling saucy. That place is great, but their rolls sure leave something to be desired.

Sorry that you won't be able to make it.

A - Thanks for considering it. Hope that we can one day meet if either of us are ever in each others' state.

Sounds like fun! I just might be able to attend.

Yep, Tucanos rolls have nothing on Magleby's...

Dang it!! It won't let me vote more than once. Phew! Good think my vote is winning!!

If I happen to be in Utah (and you just never know, sometimes I decide to fly up spur of the moment) I would totally come.

I would seriously LOVE to meet you. Maybe that's weird, but there are a few blogger buddies that I stalk who I would LOVE to meet.

You are soooo one of them.

I love this idea, but won't be in Utah until the end of July. *sigh*

Hope ya'll have a great time at yer party!!!

If I still lived in UT I would be there........if you were at Chuck-A-Rama! My dad used to always take us there!

Ah dang. See? This is what happens when you move out of UT! You miss all the fun stuff.

Pish, I see how it is. :D

am i to believe this is open to even the newest of followers?

texas roadhouse and i'm in...

I've thought it over a few times... but neither of those locations have a playplace and I'm without a sitter this week.

Next time Sparky / Graton is in town we'll have you come up for a reminiscing dinner though!

S - I hope you can make it!

N - I second that.

R - I could go for either one, but I think that TR would probably be just a bit more classy…

T - I'm looking forward to finally meeting you in the flesh!

M - I hope you can make it up. You know, I think you were our first guest on Four Perspectives…wow, time flies.

T - I hope you decide to whim it and fly on up. I'd love to finally meet the notorious Tammy.

S - Perhaps in a month or so I could finally meet you. Let me know if your family is still serious about photos at their reunion.

H - I love that place…some people think it's gross, but I tend to think of it as the place where all of your dreams come true.

S - Maybe you need to set one up in your neck of the woods? Could be fun…

S - Newest or oldest of followers. Everybody is more than welcome to come.

N - I totally understand what you're saying. I'd love to see you guys again sometime when the sparkster is back in town.

dude, if you were going to a texas roadhouse in TEXAS i would so be there.

OR if my parents had let me tag along with them on our annual family trip to HUNTSVILLE, UTAH (home of the best trappist monastery in the land)...and i would've been able to tag along, except i'm going to EUROPE instead...

so...

COME TO TEXAS!

but stay away from that thing they call a beach.
