3rd Annual Christmas in September

Pin It It just gets better and better each year…

So, the above video should have given you most of the nitty-gritty; however, I realize that there may be a few items I failed to mention - or those of you out there who have an aversion to YouTube video explanations. In honor of those unnamed individuals I'll post a few quick notes here:

How do you get invited? Oh…it’s easier than you think. If you're reading this blog, you already are; if you live nearby, I’d love for you to come celebrate it with me - unless you're creepy, in that case, feel free to get lost on your way over.

When would it be? September 11th from 6:00 p.m. until around late-thirty; come and leave as you want.

Here’s how it works...

Send me an email and let me know if you need directions OR would like to RSVP by means otherwise than commenting (teachinfourth@yahoo.com). Be sure to put “Christmas in September” in the subject line. Bring a present you wouldn’t mind getting for your birthday, and then come to the party with your favorite Christmas desert.

We will be having a gift exchange where, if you bring a gift, you get to pick one from under the Christmas tree when you decide to go. Shouldn't everyone should get presents on the new holiday to commemorate my and Jesus' birthdays?

Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

Bring your favorite Christmas treat to share with everybody else…we’ll be partaking of hot chocolate, making a gingerbread house, rocking out to Christmas tunes, and basking in the warm glow of projected holiday films in the ‘underground cinema.’

See you this weekend with - or without - the bells on.

P.S. A special thanks goes out to Janelle for her mad filming skills at eleven at night.

That was AWESOME!!!
Sorry I can't make it, wish I lived closer, but for those who are coming and want something that fits the theme, go to Cracker Barrel. They already have their Christmas displays up and going. Seriously,

I feel like crap that I can't come. Absolute crap. I'd love to be there. I love this idea and it sounds like the best kind of fun.

I hope you get the Barbie clothes. Sounds like you were secretly hinting.

I LOVE this idea! Wish we weren't living on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific, dang it! I hope you'll be posting pics. Where did you get this idea, anyway?

I so wish I lived closer! It definitely looks and sounds like it will be a blast. Awesome video and cool town house, by the way.

Nice house, Mr. Z. Sounds like it will be lots of fun. Hope you have a fun birthday and take lots of pics!

Carrie - I decided three years ago to do something a little bit different than the traditional 'birthday' celebration the week of my birthday. Usually though, I'd go up into the canyon and have a barbecue with friends…this sort of took the place of that.

such fun! too bad that doesn't fall on one of the weekends I'm already going to be up in your neck of the woods - I'll have to just get myself some Barbie Clothes (or something a little better) and make myself some cake bites!

OH man! I wish I lived close by and could celebrate. However, I was so impressed with your movie. Hubs minored in film and has made some movies. I will have to show it to him!

Dang. I can't even see the video. My computer must be blocking certain applications. I don't know. Sounds fun anyway, you know, from your description. Wish I lived closer...

WOW, this sounds like so much fun. Can't make it, our Stake Conference has its adult session that evening. Need to attend it since I skipped last time.

Your so creative.... I have heard of Christmas in July but never September. Cool idea!!!

Is your tree up now?

Is that a Warren Kimble plate I spy?

Are you really three people?

Am I sad I can't be there?

Can you just record the whole party so it feels like I'm there?

I am bringing my life size Tammy cut-out. Along with the hair I collected from her shower drain.

How fun are you?! Can you please move to So. FL so I can join all your bloggy fun? (Then you can be my 8-year old's teacher. I can guarantee TONS of Joey stories.)

Would I be considered one of the creepies if I asked to be Skyped in? (Just kidding, ok.)

Do you use the line "...eyes on me. I'm the teacher." when you meet girls??

And the decorator in me is loving your green wall!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Alas and woe for work and living, um... 300 (give or take) miles away to the south.

Alas and woe for you, also, because I make some mean cookie dough cupcakes.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I have a birthday party that day ... and I live across the country. But I really would like to know how to clone myself like that.

Also, I think eggnog should be sold year round. What is wrong with people?

I was thinking that I would be able to be there but I don't think I'll be able to make it :(

My friend and I are going to be hiking the Narrows.

Can I just say that I love your choice in background music? Not many people appreciate Hanson's Christmas album, but it has a few jewels on it.

Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. You are turning older... but your cheeks are brand new! ;) LOL Ha ha! You keep your age SO well. You look exactly like you did when you were a kid in that video!!!! Once again, I wish I was a local... I hope you have a very Happy Birthday! :D Party hard! ;)

Ashlee said...

This sounds magical! We're sorry we won't be able to make the party, but if you want to save some cake bites for us we'll surely partake when we come down next. Merry September Christmas!!!

We have stake conference adult session that evening but it seems that Annette and I will be swinging by afterwards.

Oh man, sounds like a rockin' party! Too bad we live three and a half hours away!

Happy birthday! I hope your day was awesome!

You didn't mention an age limit... I have a 15 year old who is intrigued by the idea that there is a 'How the Sith stole Christmas!'
