A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a photoshoot of a pretty fun family; unfortunately, with the onslaught of life and all that comes with it, I neglected to post any of the images.
I do this forthwith.
At the second shoot, their youngest got sick…I thought you’d all appreciate this shot as well.
Unfortunately, I wasn't quite quick enough and missed the majority of the vomiting...
bummer.

Wow... amazing photos! As someone who finds vomit funny (as long as I am not the one doing the vomiting), the vomiting-baby picture cracked me up!
Anyway, I've been reading your blog for a couple of days (came here by the way of your before and after pics on utahtib), and I really enjoy your writing. Just thought I should introduce myself before I feel like a stalker.
Leave it to you to make a picture of a child getting sick look so wonderful! You amaze me with you talent!
J - Thanks for making your presence known. I, too, have 'lurked' for a time on blogs and then made my presence known. You are welcome anytime.
I wish that I'd have gotten to the vomiting when it was truly in it's spectacular stage and not more or less in the aftermath.
Curses.
B - I was surprised just how nice this one was too; if it were my wife and child, I would most certainly hang it on my wall.
BTW, they loved it.
That last one of the baby is classic. Every mom can relate and fabulous that you got it on camera.
Matthew's school picture last year.......has a big ol' booger smeared on the front of his white shirt.
You've done an amazing job on these photos. I wish I could afford you!!! You are so stinkin' talented. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Can't wait to see more.
Talk about catching the essence of motherhood! LOL. I love the vomit pic, and if it were me it would definitely be framed.
Reading the story in my google reader I was scrolling waiting for the vomit photo. Thankfully it wasn't the photograph where the family is perched in the tree, that could have been bad. The bay still looks adorable puking and all. Quite the talent you have!
You are amazing!
Love the vomiting photo
R - I'll have another set up in a week or two. I just also completed half of another photoshoot this weekend, but it'll be a week before we can get the second installment done.
I do run specials for people I like.
N - I think those companies would sell a lot more frames with photos like that in them...
L - When you have good-looking subjects, the photographer's job isn't very hard, you know? I, too, am thankful that it wasn't in that photo.
M - If we all had a photo of ourselves puking on some form of ID or as our FB profile, I think we'd all treat each other differently.
You are amazing at capturing great moments in life. Thanks for sharing your talent.
You make me want to visit a place where leaves change and look like a painting.........
I couldn't sleep, so got out of bed.. and wola... Here I am!
Great photos! :D I actually like the last one best; motherhood enjoyed in every moment. Hats off to you and your amazing photography talent! :D good night. :)
One of these days... some rich relative will leave us some $ so I can hire you.
WHERE did you take those picts? It's BEAUTIFUL!!!
Boy! I haven't seen that family in a couple years... Time goes by so fast. The pictures are great! If you're ever in the Atlanta area... I know this great family who would love to enlist your services. :o)
Pretty much the coolest family I know photographed just beautifully! And, like others have already mentioned, I LOVE the vomit photo.
You have some amazing talent, my friend. (Don't deny it, just say thanks!)
Little boy with two teeth? Adorable. Extra points for continuing to look adorable in the process of puking.
That last shot is hysterical--love it! These are beautiful images. I especially love the one with that tree--how perfect a prop that is. I wish I had one of those here in Forest. You're oozing with talent, my friend. When we finally do meet, you know I'll be hitting you up for some shots. ;)
J - Thanks for looking at them. There will be many more to come.
ME - Aspen Grove is AMAZING in the fall. The colors, if timed just right, are breathtaking.
C - Every parent I am sure has iconic moments such as these. I'd share a few of my brother, but I don't want to embarrass him.
FS - Aspen Grove was the place. Like I said earlier, if you time it right and get to a place that has the right colors, it is gorgeous.
S - If I ever make it out that way, I know that I have a family of friends. ;)
G - Ugh, I was just about to deny it when I read over that last line.
Curses.
Thanks, then...
L - The funny thing was that I was scoping out the area for another shot when his mom began to scream for me to come and 'capture the moment.'
How cool of a parent is that?
E - Thanks for the comment. Thanks also for letting me know about the shots - glad you liked them. They were a lot of fun to do and turned out really great. I felt kind of bad because I did have quite a few proofs which the family had to narrow down, I found out that their oldest daughter asked her mom something to the effect of, "Can't we just get all of them?"
How flattering is that?
Jason, you ARE amazing--only you could make this family look this good. I wouldn't be surprised if you could spin straw into gold too. "Thank you" does not suffice.
Such fantastic photos!!!
How the heck would one go about hiring you? My skillz are seriously lacking....
I REALLY like those locations.
J - Straw into gold? Too easy...
T - You can always just click on the sidebar for Along the Backroads; I try to keep my photography site somewhat updated.
K - What's great about them is that they were fairly close, and just looked good. Of course, having an aesthetically-pleasing family to work with is always a bonus.
Oh wow. I love 'em.
Did you do Tib's photos?
Vomit. Vomit. Capturing the essence of infancy. :) Well done.
J No, I didn't; however, I am always ready to work some magic...
