Day 3 - Taking out the Trash

Pin It We all have to do that at one time or another, don’t we? Well, what about the “trashy 80’s” music we’ve all grown to love so much?

My friend’s daughter was headed off to eighth grade for her “80’s Day” today and had completely decked herself out. Well, I took a few photos and then decided to make a front and back sleeve for the 80’s music compilation for which her photos would undoubtedly be used for at some time in the future…

Also, my friend, Brian, thought it would be funny to “borrow” my camera and then take a few snapshots of himself, unbeknownst to me. I decided to put them to good use.

Going through my computer is always fun, and it’s also fun to go through and recycle some of that trash. After all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure…

First of all--
How did she get her hair like that? I tried back in the day. Hmm...
Second-- she really looks like it was 85. Or something like that.
Third-- I didn't look that good- no matter what I was dressed in-in the 8th grade!

I'm off to listen to some Van Halen...

Yea I loved the 80s! The bigger the hair the better! Great music and the clothes, enough said....

Wow, she really captured that combination Madonna/Rocker chick/Olivia Newton-John look! And I think your friend will think twice about using your camera again...

I had to laugh at the 80's theme...ugh! Here I sit with a nice little baggie of dough--not enjoying the Jazz getting thoroughly trounced by San Antonio--but thoroughly enjoying the dough. Good stuff for good days. Yum!

I am surprised no one has commented about Brian's stunning debut on your blog? Brian you never looked better!

So cool that she really got into the "80's Day" thing. She looks great!

I had thought of doing something similar once with your camera. So glad I didn't.

I looked at the picture before I read the blog. I seriously thought that was an 80's album there.

Emmy - A lot of hairspray and ratting...I didn't do it, her sister is in beauty school.

Kris - How'd you like track #14? I put it in as a joke, after all, he didn't ever have 80's hair.

Gerb - You hope one would learn, wouldn't you?

Jacs - Can you say, "Freaky & Psycho?"

Anonymous - Glad you liked the look. Sorry about the trouncing of the Jazz...that's yet another reason I don't watch sports.

Jewels - Parts of it...

Shoe - He just saw it on my blog today...he was thrilled!

Nettle - Oh, I wish you'd done so...what fun I would have had!

Meem - I'm flattered. It was fun to make...I think they're going to frame it and hang it in the house.

yeah, had i not read the post I would have gone on thinking that picture was taken in the 80's. She really hit it home with that outfit, hair, even the way she's standing. Awesome.
