Media of the Week - Holocene

I watched this for the first time two nights ago, and I was completely blown away with the simplicity and beauty of the editing.

The metaphor was powerful.

The music swept over me like a gentle, swelling wave of autumn wind.

Time and again I’ve tried to pen down the words rippling about me this morning, last night, throughout the day yesterday, but they refuse to be held down and composed together as a string of thought.

The metaphor of my life.

…I knew I was not magnificent.

I disagree. Last week I went on a hike with my sisters. One of them brought up the thought that one tiny ant, so tiny and seeming so insignificant on this earth. Such a huge earth. One tiny ant. And yet, if that ant weren't there, we'd miss it. One tiny little ant, but God knows about it.

We are magnificent...... and significant.

where, and HOW on earth did you find this little video., It was so lovely.
I loved it!!
one small boy, seemed all alone in his world, surroonded by such beauty and peace
yet he was alone, by himself
seemingly insignificant.
I loved the skipping of the rock.
One small rock, we throw it out there, and it ripples and ripples...which to me just shows, all our smallest acts get "carried out and carried on" in some way or another. rippling.......
(and, on a personal note, I have sent some of those rocks out there, and they landed like a dead weight in the water...got more rippling I need to perfect)
bottom line, I guess it is vital that we remember we ARE significant.

There are times that I long for that sort of solitude. Beautiful video!

It was like watching my own son - his facial expressions and his front teeth he has yet to grow into. It was like watching my 9 year old enjoy a dream.

Thanks for sharing - I'm going to go share it with him!

No one is insignificant to God. Even if you were the only person on the earth, He still would have sent His Son to die for you. He loves you that much!
