Totally unreal, what a beautiful place... makes me want to see it again and again. I just love that type of country. Beauty everywhere you look. Fantastic photo shoot!!! Love, DAD
I just love the photo's! The first one really made an impression. I really like it, a lot! I was looking at it for so long that I am now running to get to work on time! I love it! I like the one of you winking as well! KJ
Lets set aside the photos (which are amazing as usual)...the poem you wrote across them perfectly spelled out the magic of the desert to me. I love it when you post your poetry.
Kris - I'll try to not let you down in the future (and of course you're not biased in any way, shape, or form).
Mom - It was neat how I came across him/her. It was devouring a grouse at the time when I stumbled upon it. It took off and landed on an old fence post a bit farther away. I fumbled with my zoom lens, attaching it to the camera to get a shot before it took off, not to return. I got a few, this was the best one.
Lydia - Thanks. It just seemed to work out that way.
LoS - Yes, it did. Thanks. It's not hard for me to be inspired when I am at a place I love so much.
Dani - Thanks.
Nettle - I made a comment above how I was able to get the shot. I wish I could have gotten a bit closer while he was sitting here. Ah well...maybe next time...or a more powerful zoom lens.
Antithesis indeed. Your home consists of the desert and mine is in a rainforest in the last frontier. I actually love Juneau due to the people. The environment up there is so inviting it hard to not fall in love, plus the pace of life is one in its own.
I at first thought you were going to link me to Sandpoint since most Idahoans go back to their roots.
As always, enjoyed your thoughts and your photographs. You have such a way with words and images.

Well now your my favorite photographer and poet!
OK, you have to put the hawk on your Backroads website too!
What a cool way to wright your post.
As much as I like your photos in this, it's the poetry and writing that really make it so memorable.
All this really comes from you?!! I know it does...but the talent is off the charts on this one.
seriously amazing
N I C E ! Your photography just seems to get better. That photo of the hawk was just awesome. How did you do that?
Dad - I love it there...one of my favorite places on Earth.
KJ - I'm flattered. My shadow looks quite dashing, doesn't it?
Shoe - It's what came while I was there.
Thanks.
