Teachinfourth had always wanted to win something on the radio.
He had phoned, trying to be the 10th caller to the stations. He had sent in emails. He even tried other various and sundry things in order to win. However, to his great dismay, he just couldn’t ever seem to win the tickets to James Taylor or Sting concerts, the Caribbean cruise, or the thousand dollar jackpot.
Alas, it seemed he would never win.
He sent in a photo this morning for FM 100’s win-tickets-to-see-the-live-performance-of-“High School Musical” up at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake . (See #3)
He won.
The moral of this story, you ask?
Sometimes winning is NOT everything.

So, you're not really a secret High School Musical fan, eh?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
What photo did you submit anyway?
(Love your use of "various and sundry" in your blogs. Yes, I've been noticing:)
Go Wildcats! Have fun "Joey"!
Actually, did you get a certain 4th grade teacher a wedding gift? If not....
(She and her new hubby were "Sharpay and Ryan" for Halloween!)
Oh, I love it! Maybe you could auction them off to your class for free car washes all summer or something...
Yay, Joey!! Also, we love the "various and sundry" down here as well! :) It has become a staple in my everyday vocabulary.
Oh...too bad for Joey. I put a High School Musical poster that I got for free in my class store, and kids are already saving for it and wondering who will get this treasure! (But just think, now you can't say that you have never won anything on the radio!)
Anonymous - Nope.
Nettle - It's the link which says #3 on the blog...I mean, "Joey" submitted it...
Cari - Joey has since passed on the tickets to the boy in said photo...he, needless to say, was THRILLED at the idea of being able to see HSM live.
Gerb - See above comment, however, that would have been a good idea!
Scotts - I just can't let those words go! Just something about the way they flow and sound...like the smell of cinnamon & apple cider.
Jewels - Oh, the honor...
FOOL! pure gold just sitting in your hot little hand and you give it away!? sigh.. there are 2 kinds of people in this world...those who see leverage in everything and have no morals to hold them back from squeezing every last drop of advantage from something(me- obviously- just ask my kids)...and those who just give it away(you morally superior but so very deprived)..gone like dandelion fluff in the wind never to be exploited in ways that are oh so enjoyable...but at least now you can proudly wear the label of "winner"
