Let it rain

Pin It My head is full of reflections tonight; these tumble about in my head like the crystalline rushing of a mountain stream over a bed of smoothly-worn stones of thought.

I’ve come to realize just that life is much too short to live in apprehension, cowering with the fear of rejection, and listening to the whining of that little incessant voice in the back of our minds which whispers, “You just can’t do it.”

Who’s to stop me?

Probably just me, after all, I’ve done it numerous times before. I’m good at it too…too good to be exact.

The waters rush on as I stare at my computer screen tonight. As I do, I realize that there will be so much more to consider in the waters, what with the oncoming of the rain in the distant mountains.

Luckily, I do have an umbrella.

Let it rain.

Wow...jealous! The most contemplative I am is when I am debating whether or not to unleash on the mortgage company representative for their latest mistake this week!

We are our greatest strength, as well as our biggest weakness. What I like about your post, is not only the imagery of the words you chose, but all the labels that you used for this post. I don't usually notice those, but this time I couldn't help but notice how many were there...and so it struck me that your thoughts reached to and included all facets of your life. Such realizations are truly all-powerful when we do something with them. Change is hard, but change can be so incredible and moving for us. When I read this post, my mind instantly went to this line (I'm sure you'll know it well), 'Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life. Well, valuable, but small. And sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around?' You get the chance right now to write your own book...literally and figuratively. Make it great. Make it a best-seller. Make it about who you are, because you know your self the very best. And because I am not as great with words, but thankful that others are, here is another quote I'm going to borrow...'Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.'

Go for it all...the hard work you put into everything merits amazing experiences and outcomes.

J&J - I have those moments of reflection as well...however, those are my "mud puddles" of thought.

Kris - Like I said...it all depends on the day.

LoS - A hearty "amen!" has been shouted to your words.

KJ - I have no worries of drought. Drowning? Perhaps...

I think there's more said in your "labels" than in your post. Cool way to relate what you said to so many different things.
