Hot

Pin It I think this photo sums up nicely what it is like here in Hurricane, Utah. I am wondering if I'll even want to head out deep into the desert...probably not, after all, I'm pretty sure I saw a person melt today. All I know is one minute they were there, the next there was this blotchy puddle with burning clothes in it. By the way, when I say ‘hot’ I’m referring solely to temperature...not my physical appearance.

Tomorrow morning (before sunrises) I'm headed up to a ghost town, as well as Kolob Canyon. I plan to be gone the whole day, however, I will merely do what I feel tomorrow. Today was a day like this, and though I took several photos, attended a birthday celebration, and had a fun time visiting with friends, I also took a nap (something I haven't done in a long time) and slept away12 of the last 24 hours.

I guess it was sorely needed.

Did I mention that it is hot here?

Oh Oh Oh YOU BIG BABY!!!!! We live in this every summer!!! With a Swamp cooler!!!! Just think of it as a sauna with no water. You can come float in our pool with the kids. And I think Hurricane is higher then St. George, so alittle cooler there. HAHA!

So you're telling me it's hot? I see... :) It was great to chat with you last night. It's nice to get to know you better. The Monks rave about you all the time and I'm excited to continue to get to know the man that helped them find truth and friendship. Gracias, Senior. We'll be seeing you again shortly!

The news said last night that St. George way should be hit with monsoon thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday....I'd venture out (carefully!) while its cooler and snag some great shots of lightning at the ghost town!

Even if you don't get out much I am still glad you got out of town for awhile to have some fun.

Um, I hate to state the obvious but, isn't the desert always hot in the summer? It was only in the low 90's today. Very nice, warm (not hot) day. Just thought I'd rub it in. :)

Hope you're having fun! :)
Southern Utah is beautiful even though it's hot. My boys took beautiful pictures of their Moab trip. The red rocks against the blue skies...just beautiful.

Kris - I, my friend, am a whiner.

Jamie - You guessed it. I'm just sorry you have to live in this oppressive heat!

Shoe - I've already driven nearly $90. However, taking the pictures I want, and getting to see neat stuff is worth the price.

Cari - Um...yeah. BUT it is really worth it in the end.
