Mentoring

Pin It I wanted to do a post about my experiences with mentoring in the past and what an effect it has had on my life. However, tonight is not the night...it is much to late. So in lieu of a post about it at this time, I'd like to share the poster I created about a year ago for the Safety Net Mentoring Program.

Mentoring really is a wonderful thing! I know you made a big difference in a lot of young boys' lives. I am sure they touched yours as well. You do so much. You have such a giving heart.

One of the things I appreciate most about you is your "informal" mentoring. It's something you just do for many, many kids on a daily basis. I've overheard sincere compliments you make to students that may seem insignificant to others, but always results in a boost of esteem and ego to the one on the receiving end. It's just who you are.

KJ,

I feel anxious to get back to it again. I really miss some of those days to tell you the truth!

Tara,

I always think later just how much more I should have done...how many more compliments I should have given. Sometimes, it's hard to keep up with everything you know? However, thanks...

You have touched many lives that needed someone. You are a great example. I know that you have missed those times..but you are still touching many lives now.
